    Well I do SEO so I thought this might be interesting. I agree on several points. Largely business owners really do not understand the terms like SEO, PPC, Internet Marketing and they are buying bits and pieces of services but it is like having a football team with no quarterback. Whats worse is many are doomed to failure that are paying us good money because they will pay to get found but refuse to make their website a selling machine. They still think its good enough to say this is what we do and this is where we do it. Meanwhile across town someone is letting their prospects download coupons, sending them autoresponder sales notices and totally eating away at their customer base.

    Hi Jamie, I could not agree more and it really sucks! Best advice I can give businesses that are really trying to grow aggressively is to make sure one of the owners is a direct marketer and let that person take care of the marketing budget.
